Hope is finally on the horizon one year into the Covid-19 pandemic, yet public mistrust of vaccines threatens to undermine their tremendous potential. Community Counter is a volunteer initiative meant to suppress the spread of COVID-19 within the Chicagoland Jewish community. This site allows individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 to anonymously give information that will protect their friends and neighbors. This information will indicate where a person with COVID-19 may have unintentionally exposed others before they knew they were sick. This notification system uses the principles of contact tracing in order to suppress further spread of the virus. We can keep our community safe, open and thriving if we are able to stop the spread of COVID-19 as swiftly as possible
