The Israeli Volunteering Council

Go to website

The Israeli Volunteering council enhances effective volunteerism and volunteer management in organizations in Israel and around the world. Those include government ministries, local authorities, social and business organizations, and NGOs in Israel and around the world.

The Council serves over 4,000 volunteering managers and professionals every year, who in turn serve hundreds of thousands of individuals from all religions and sectors. Internationally, the Council is a member of the International Association for Volunteer Effort (IAVE), and participates in international conferences, knowledge development forums, and professional exchanges.

With JReady, the council work with Jewish communities and organizations to build an effective plan and protocols to achieve different possible goals, depending on the community’s needs:

  • To promote professional and effective volunteer management of volunteers in the community
  • To develop volunteer roles relevant to the community and to learn how to attract volunteers to these roles
  • To promote professional and effective volunteer management among young volunteers in the community
  • To develop and organize specific and dedicated roles for the lay leadership of the community
