Avi had served as commander at IDF C5i Branch, cyber defense and Electronic Warfare for 30 years. He is a Digital Transformation and Digital Strategy Architecture Specialist. He is the Co-founder of SYN-RG-Ai- a consulting and integration company specializing in Smart cities and intelligent environments. During thr COVID-19 pandemic he served as the commander of the City of Bnei Brak situation room.
